This Humidex model is aesthetically designed with whisper quiet technology for living quarters. It uses only 31 watts of electricity and can condition an area of up 1,600 sq. ft. A dedicated 6" vent through the wall is required. They have been installed in HUD projects, public housing, and have been used by property managers nationwide to reduce mold and structural damage and avoid legal issues.
NOTE: In apartments, the vent installation through the wall will require approval from management.

Foundation vents are inadequate sources of ventilation and do not mechanically expel moisture to keep the area dry and free of crawl space odors. In certain climates and seasons the introduction of hot humid air into a cold crawl environment can create crawl space moisture problems.

This Humidex ventilation unit is designed for crawl spaces or homes without basements. Unlike a conventional crawl space dehumidifier, it will reduce the humidity and musty odors in a crawl space with controlled ventilation in these problematic areas. Because it removes humidity, it will also stop wood from rotting which will go toward eliminating costly repairs.
